Key points:
- The provider is continuing its expansion plans, having been granted entry to the Danish market
- Habanero is eager to pursue certifications in regions where it feels it can provide ‘tangible value’ to operators
March may have only just begun, but 2025 has already been a busy year for Habanero, which has been awarded a Greek licence and a Brazilian regulatory accreditation in recent weeks.
Now, the iGaming content provider is extending its global reach with its awarding of a licence in Denmark, meaning its full suite of games has been certified for the Scandinavian nation. These include titles such as Jump, Totem Towers and Hyper Hues.
According to Habanero, the Danish market represents a prime opportunity, having achieved steady growth over the last decade, resulting in an increase in revenue of 6.9% in 2024 alone. Looking to the future, the country’s online gambling revenue is forecast to exceed $1.35bn by 2029 as the market continues to mature.
Arcangelo Lonoce, Head of Business Development at Habanero, explained: “We are thrilled to gain our third licence of the year, this time in Denmark. A market that has continued to progress in Europe, we are confident that our diverse portfolio of games will continue to resonate well with the ever-changing player demographic across the country.”
To date, Habanero has become certified across 24 markets, and, with this latest licence under its belt, it seems the iGaming provider is showing no signs of slowing down.
