The 2024 State Online Gaming Market report for Spain shows a 17.6% increase in gross gaming revenue (GGR), reaching €1.45bn ($1.58bn). Deposits and withdrawals also increased by 19.6% and 19.7%, respectively, indicating continued consumer participation.
Marketing spending in 2024 totaled €526.30m, which is a 30.4% increase from 2023. Spending was distributed across affiliates (€56.32m), advertising, sponsorship and promotions, with advertising rising by 37.2% and promotions increasing by 30.8%.
Active player numbers reached 1,992,889, a 21.7% increase compared to the previous year. The betting segment grew by 23.8%, while the casino segment saw a 17% increase, with slot machines contributing significantly to the growth.
