Genting Singapore has made changes to the composition of its Board Committees following the retirement of Ms Chan Swee Liang Carolina, who stepped down from her roles as Independent Non-Executive Director, Lead Independent Director, Chair of the Nominating Committee and member of the Audit and Risk Committee, effective 14 April 2025.
In response, the Board has appointed Mr Tan Wah Yeow as the new Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Nominating Committee. As a result of his new responsibilities, Mr Tan has stepped down from the Remuneration Committee.
Ms Wong Chien Chien, newly appointed to the Board and considered independent under the Singapore Exchange's listing rules, has joined the Audit and Risk, Nominating and Remuneration Committees.
Following these changes, the Board now comprises six directors, including Executive Chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, CEO Tan Hee Teck and four Independent Non-Executive Directors. Committee roles have been redistributed among the current members to ensure continuity of oversight and governance.
The operator held its 40th Annual General Meeting on 14 April 2025.
