The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has signed a deal to extend its exclusive partnership with Sportradar for its Integrity and Regulatory Services.
This will support efforts to safeguard the sport and detect any instances of match-fixing throughout the season.
Sportradar will utelise its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) to monitor more than 8,200 matches across men’s and women’s leagues.
In its 2024 reports, Sportradar found that the number of suspicious football matches fell by 48%, while the number of matches suspected of being manipulated worldwide fell by 17%.
Ednaldo Rodrigues, CBF President, said: “Strengthening the integrity of Brazilian football is a priority for this administration, and the renewal of this partnership further reinforces our commitment to this mission.
“The work of the CBF’s Integrity Unit, in collaboration with Sportradar, will complement monitoring by FIFA and result in more than 10,000 Brazilian football matches being covered this season. It’s an impressive and symbolic milestone that makes us very proud.
“This is a partnership that has been bearing fruit and has been crucial in the fight against match-fixing, ensuring a fairer and safer environment for the sport.”
Good to know: The initial agreement between the two companies was signed in 2018 and collaborates with the existing agreements established with leading football organisations including CONMEBOL, FIFA, UEFA, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Colombian Football Federation (FCF)
