The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has maintained its ISO 9001:2015 certification following an audit.
The certification, awarded by DQS Certification Philippines, reflects PAGCOR’s commitment to international quality management standards.
Alejandro Tengco, PAGCOR Chairman and CEO, said: “Maintaining our ISO 9001:2015 certification is certainly no small feat.
“This is the result of the collective effort of the entire PAGCOR family, and it reflects our team’s discipline, teamwork and commitment to quality service for the benefit of the government and the Filipino people.”
The certificate will apply to PAGCOR’s multi-site operations and will be valid until 21 March 2026.
As part of the process, the surveillance audit covered PAGCOR’s Main Corporate Office and Casino Filipino branches in Tagaytay, Angeles, Citystate, Cebu, Ilocos Norte, Olongapo, and Bacolod.
Casino Filipino Grand Regal, Malabon Grand, Binondo, Manila Grand Opera, Greenery, Midas, Kartini, Oriental Pearl, Networld and Tropicana in Las Piñas were also audited as part of an extended scope.
Good to know: The ceremony was attended by PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Tengo, Director Francis Concordia, President and COO Wilma Eisma, Directors Jose Ortega and Gilbert Remulla, as well as DQS Certification Philippines Managing Director Romeo Zamora
The report noted that PAGCOR’s management were “consistently supporting quality improvements and effectively managing risk, highlighting the agency’s strong operational controls, cross-divisional collaboration and focus on employee engagement and customer satisfaction.”
Other points of praise included innovations in cash handling, opportunities given to customers to provide feedback, digital record-keeping systems, AML compliance training and the agency’s deployment of modern technologies like the “Card Canister Randomiser”.
Last week, PAGCOR revealed it had funded a new dialysis unit in Pampanga, which included 40 dialysis machines and free treatments for low-income patients.
