MGM China has unveiled its "MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program," designed to strengthen team members' awareness and execution of responsible gaming practices through a variety of initiatives.

Launched last week, the program aims to support the Macao Government's policies promoting responsible gaming while contributing to the development of Macau's tourism and leisure industry.

The new program provides employees with a platform for responsible gaming promotion through diversified activities, including roadshows, pop-up interactive games, online quiz competitions and advanced training courses on gambling-related knowledge.

The program has received substantial support from local authorities and institutions, being advised by the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) of Macao SAR, Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), University of Macau (UM) and Macao Polytechnic University (MPU).

An opening ceremony was held at MGM COTAI's back-of-house area with a number of notable attendees.

In his speech at the ceremony, Executive Vice President of Gaming Operations & Strategic Marketing Tian Han emphasised that this new initiative will work in tandem with the "MGM RG Community Engagement Scheme" launched last year.

Together, these programs create an "internal and external dual-track" approach that combines social advocacy with employee professional development.

This responsible gaming initiative comes amid a period of strong performance for MGM China, which recently reported net revenue of HK$8.0bn for Q1 2025, representing a 1% increase from the previous quarter and reaching 139% of first quarter 2019 levels.

The company also saw its gross gaming revenue market share grow to 15.7% and achieved property visitation at 177% of 2019 levels.
