Key points:

- TPD launched GPS tracking and In-Running odds technology at Argentina's Hipódromo de Palermo, becoming the first racecourse in Argentina to implement this system

- The installation marks TPD's third South American deployment, adding Palermo to a network of over 150 racecourses using the company's technology

Total Performance Data (TPD) has officially launched its GPS tracking and In-Running odds technology at Argentina’s Hipódromo de Palermo.

This installation marks TPD’s third deployment in South America, highlighting the company’s commitment to expanding its data-driven offerings across the region.

Located in Buenos Aires, Palermo is now equipped with TPD’s system, which includes real-time GPS tracking, In-Running pricing and live race graphics.

This technology is designed to boost the racing experience for fans, broadcasters and industry stakeholders, while opening up new commercial and digital engagement opportunities for the venue.

The move follows TPD’s prior installations in Chile and aligns with its broader strategy to modernise race data infrastructure in emerging racing markets.

Good to know: Palermo now joins a growing list of international racecourses using TPD’s services, including Ascot (UK), Churchill Downs (USA) and Meydan (UAE)

Commenting on the new deal, Adam Moore, Director of Racing Partnerships at TPD, stated: "We are delighted to go live at Palermo, one of the most iconic and illustrious racecourses in Latin America.

“Being our third installation in South America, this reflects growing demand in the region for the kind of high-quality tracking and performance data that drives modern racing engagement.

“We are proud to support the passionate team at Palermo in their pursuit of innovation and enhanced fan experience."

Federico Spangenberg, Racing Manager at Hipódromo de Palermo, added: "We are very excited and proud to join the standards of international horseracing by including TPD in our broadcast and becoming the first racecourse in Argentina to incorporate this cutting-edge technology.

“TPD brings transparency and competitiveness to the races at Palermo, enhancing the experience for racing fans and industry professionals from all over the world."
