Expanse Studios has received official iGaming certification to operate in the Croatian market.

The Croatian Ministry of Finance has authorised the company to provide services for its flagship game, Super Heli. Additional titles in the company's 56-game portfolio are expected to receive approval in the coming weeks for EU member states.

Super Heli, a crash-style game developed by Expanse, is the first of the studio’s titles approved for distribution in Croatia. This approval allows for the potential expansion of the studio’s portfolio in the country.

The certification marks entry into a market that generated $484.7m in 2024 and is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 8.4% through 2030. This growth is supported by several structural trends, including an increase in internet penetration from 76% in 2020 to 83% in 2023, 20.6 million tourist arrivals in 2023 following Croatia’s accession to the Schengen Zone, and projections indicating that more than 500,000 Croatian residents will engage in online gambling on a regular basis by 2027.

Croatia is part of the European iGaming market. According to market research published by iGamingToday, the national gambling market is expected to reach €720.4m ($848.8m) by 2025 under current regulatory conditions.

Damjan Stamenkovic, CEO of Expanse Studios, said: "Croatia certification is more than market access—it's validation of our content quality and compliance capabilities in demanding EU jurisdictions.

"With our flagship title Super Heli already approved and more games in the pipeline, we're very excited for the opportunities this market brings us.”
