The Brazilian Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories has issued a public summons to MCR 73 Investimento LTDA.
The betting platform allegedly owes BR169,000 in unpaid winnings to a user who claims they couldn’t withdraw the prize.
The player claims to have accumulated the sum in prizes on the platform while playing Fortune Tiger, a very popular game in the country, but was prevented from withdrawing it.
The summons follows repeated failed attempts to locate any legal representative of the company: After unsuccessfully contacting the company, the victim turned to the courts, which also failed to identify a contact or physical address linked to the operator.
Good to know: Brazil collected nearly BR4bn in betting tax revenue in the first six months of 2025
In response, the judge presiding over the case issued an official notice in the public record.
The notice gives the operator 20 business days to respond and states that, if it fails to do so, the plaintiff’s claims may be presumed true under Brazilian civil procedure.
Earlier this year, several influencers were acquitted after promoting Fortune Tiger, including an influencer who was arrested after two months in the run.
