South Korea’s Inspire Entertainment Resort adopts Regula ID verification to improve guest entry

South Korea’s Inspire Entertainment Resort has implemented Regula’s identity verification technology to simplify the guest entry process for international visitors.
According to the company, the integration of the Regula Document Reader SDK system has resulted in reduced document processing times and an improved registration experience.
The implementation aims to meet anti-money laundering (AML) requirements while maintaining operational efficiency.
The resort complex, located near Incheon International Airport, serves exclusively foreign visitors and required a solution capable of recognizing passports from multiple countries with minimal operational complications.
The property, previously known as Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort, underwent a soft launch on 30 November 2023, followed by its grand opening ceremony on 5 March 2024, until Bain Capital, a global investment firm, took over operational control of the resort after exercising its rights to control MGE Korea Limited, the resort’s parent company.
Regula’s technology utilises a proprietary database covering over 15,000 document templates from 254 countries and territories. The system was deployed across six entrance stations, where it extracts and validates critical identification data such as name, date of birth, nationality and passport number in real-time.
The processed data transfers directly to the resort’s AML system, which performs automated screenings against external compliance and watchlist databases. This integration seeks a continuous workflow between document verification and required security controls.
Since implementation, Inspire Entertainment Resort has reported improvements in document processing, a reduction in manual re-scanning needs and a decreased staff workload. Regarding peak guest traffic hours, the system allegedly maintains consistent performance.

The speed of document processing has noticeably increased, and guest entry has become much smoother. It’s a reliable solution that has elevated the efficiency of our daily operations.”
