QTech Games appoints Agatha Wanjugu as East Africa Sales Manager

Key points:

– Agatha Wanjugu appointed as Sales Manager for East Africa at QTech Games

– Appointment reflects the aggregator’s growing footprint in emerging markets

– Wanjugu will be responsible for managing and growing QTech’s existing partners in the region

QTech Games has continued its recruitment drive, adding Agatha Wanjugu to the team as Sales Manager for East Africa.

The personnel announcement aligns with recent movements to reinforce the African-facing arm of the company.

Wanjugu has had spells at both iGaming Afrika and Pragmatic Play, where she served as an Account Manager for Africa, providing her plenty of regional experience to bring to her new employer’s African expansion efforts.

QTech Games CEO, Philip Doftvik, said: “She’ll be a true asset to both QTech Games and all our clients, as we grow in Africa to make it a substantial part of our total revenue mix. We have high growth ambitions here in the coming years. Ultimately, we want to dominate and build a stellar and agile brand in the region.”

Good to know: QTech Games set up a tech hub in Malaga in December 2024 and is already moving into a bigger unit as the team’s physical growth matches the growth ambitions of the company itself

In June 2025, QTech Games recruited Ekaterina Mayorova as Sales & Account Manager for Africa and Eastern Europe, but this more zoomed-in role for Wanjugu suggests a deepening engagement with clients in East Africa.

The Malta-based games distributor has a clear stated focus on emerging markets and having previously been particularly focused on Asia, it has turned increasingly towards Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America as targets for expansion, reflected in its partnership deals with Endorphina and Clawbuster

Wanjugu expanded on her role, saying: “I’ll be responsible for managing QTech’s existing East African partners, alongside stewarding our expansion into neighbouring local territories.”
