Sanna van Doorn has been appointed General Manager (GM) Netherlands at FDJ United. She follows from the previous GM Netherlands, Lennart Kessels.
Doorn has worked in regulation, policy and corporate affairs for over a decade, with her first role as a research assistant for Ecole Nationale d’Administration running for three months between the end of 2012 to the beginning of 2013.
From here, she spent almost two years with Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, first as a UN Affairs trainee and eventually as Communications Officer in August 2016.
Then, she became a trainee with Hague Corporate Affairs, staying with the company for three years as she developed her role to Junior Consultant and eventually Consultant, where she spent nearly two years. Following this, she spent two years as a CSR & Corporate Affairs Officer with Spadel, before being appointed Head of Corporate Affairs BeNL at FDJ in April 2022.
Good to know: In August, FDJ United signed a new partnership with PartnerMatrix
In her three-and-a-half-year tenure in the role, Doorn saw FDJ United rebrand from its former trade name, La Française des Jeux (FDJ), following its €2.5bn ($2.93bn) acquisition of Kindred in October 2024. In her latest career advancement, she now holds the title of GM with FDJ United.
On LinkedIn, Doorn wrote: “I’ve got some big shoes to fill, but I’ve had the privilege of learning from one of the very best. A huge thank you to Lennart Kessels for your guidance and support.
“Ready for the challenge. Let’s go.”
The appointment comes soon after FDJ United’s H1 2025 results, where the operator reported revenue growth of 16.9%, totalling €3.07bn. Despite this, net profit was down, dropping 6.2% to €399m.
