Spelinspektionen appoints Johan Röhr as new General Director
It follows the exit of Camilla Rosenberg last week.

Spelinspektionen, the Swedish gambling regulator, has appointed Johan Röhr as its new General Director.
The move comes following last week’s exit of Camilla Rosenburg from the position. Rosenburg has held the role since 2017, but will now take on the role of Director and Head of Fastighetsmäklarinspektionen, Sweden’s state administrative authority, from 1 November.
Her exit came shortly after the regulator published its latest channelisation report, which found only 85% of games were played via regulated means.
This was 5% below target, and came in no small part due to the 72-82% channelisation rate of iGaming in Sweden, meaning potentially one in four iGaming players was doing so outside of regulated channels.

Röhr will join the regulator from 1 November and comes with significant relevant experience. He has spent close to 25 years with Spelinspektionen, joining in February 2001 as a jurist. After seven years, he was appointed Chief Legal Officer – a role he holds to this day.
On his appointment, Spelinspektionen Chairman of the Board Claes Norgren said: “Johan Röhr has extensive experience in the business and will ensure continuity in management. Operations will continue as planned and at an unabated pace while waiting for a new Director General to be appointed.”
