Key points:
– Klein served as Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Fortuna Entertainment Group

Vladimir Klein is stepping down from his posts at the Fortuna Entertainment Group (FEG) after nearly five years with the betting operator.
The company, which was founded in the Czech Republic, operates three brands across five different European jurisdictions and Klein served as its Group Chief Technology Officer.
Fortuna is one such brand, established in 1990 and active in the operator’s country of origin, as well as Slovakia, Poland and Romania – Klein’s other role with the company was to sit on the Board of Directors for this brand.
Klein has reflected on the technological advancements that have been achieved under his leadership, pointing specifically towards the re-platforming of the company’s sportsbook, the launch of redesigned apps and websites and a modernisation of infrastructure.
In a personal post online, he said: “I want to sincerely thank all my colleagues who believed in me, trusted our direction and stood by through outages, hacker attacks, and the delivery of complex transformational programs.”
Good to know: In July, Fortuna Czech Republic signed an agreement extending and expanding its relationship with Slavia Prague, a football club that has shared domestic superiority with its city rival Sparta Prague since the inception of the Czech top division
Towards the start of 2025, an executive restructuring saw Dieter John announced as the new CEO of FEG, at which time a company statement cited the need for John to lead the company into the “next phase of growth and success.”
The company has signed supplier deals with Pragmatic Play, EvoPlay and Playtech in recent years to expand its portfolio and drive that growth.
A reason for Klein’s departure has not been disclosed at this point, nor has there been any word of a successor.
