Slane has been brought in to help the league grow its presence within gaming, with the expansion of legalised sports betting across the US well underway.

Slane has confimed she has offered her support to the NHL when it comes to forming new partnerships, gaming legislation and the gaming and sports betting marketplace.

Nine NHL teams are located in states where sports betting has been legalised, with North Carolina the next state likely to join the list.

NHL CBO Keith Wachtel said: “Our new partnership with Slane Advisory is another example of our commitment to working collaboratively with the sports betting industry and developing a best-in-class approach to partnerships.

“We need someone who understands the business and can help us and help out teams in creating partnerships and evaluating the space.”
