DraftKings renews Madison Square Garden partnership

DraftKings has announced the renewal of its partnership with the Madison Square Garden Company, which will see the operator become sports betting partner of the New York Knicks and Rangers in addition to the arena.

The operator will continue as the exclusive daily fantasy sports (DFS) sponsor of the company, also including a DFS partnership with the Westchester Knicks.

Through the extended agreement, DraftKings will benefit from brand integration across Madison Square Garden assets, including digital platforms, in-game promotions and out-of-home signage.

The partnership also includes exposure during all New York Knicks and Rangers games and throughout broadcasts on Madison Square Garden networks, in addition to DFS promotions during Westchester Knicks games.

Ezra Kucharz, Chief Business Officer at DraftKings, said: "We are very proud to be named the official sports betting partner and continue as the DFS partner of the world’s most famous arena and for two of the most iconic franchises in all of sports that play there.

"The Madison Square Garden Company is known for providing fans with unforgettable moments and this emphasis on immersive engagement perfectly complements DraftKings and our like-minded commitment to experiential excellence."

Last month, DraftKings entered into an agreement to purchase sports betting supplier SBTech. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2020.
