Rightlander launches affiliate compliance products in Ontario
By Gambling Insider

The company, which has over 100 partners across North America, offers support and advice to gambling operators and suppliers, particularly when advertising or working with affiliates.

These operators and suppliers will have to meet strict standards of integrity, fairness, player protection and social responsibility, as laid out by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Rightlander’s suite of products and services have been developed to assist with the compliance of these standards.

Ian Sims, Founder, Rightlander, commented: “It was only a matter of time before the Canadian iGaming sector started down the path to regulation. We have been scanning at the state level in the USA for a while now and are well equipped to monitor from individual states in Canada, like Ontario.

“Rightlander is able to scan from local IP addresses so our clients get to see how content is geo-targeted to consumers, at both country and state level.”

In the weeks and months leading up to the launch of online gambling in Ontario, a multitude of operators, suppliers and related organisations have been awarded licences to provide their services from 4 April onwards.

On the operator front, the likes of Rivalry Corporation, PointsBet, theScore Bet (a subsidiary of Penn National Gaming) and 888 Holdings have all been granted licences by AGCO.

Similarly, suppliers such as Bragg Gaming Group, Kambi Group and Gaming Realms have had their licence applications approved.

Most recently, World Series of Poker and GGPoker Network have partnered to launch a new online poker room in Ontario, branded as WSOP.CA.

Finally, the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian Gaming Association, providing a framework for how the two organisations can work together to tackle betting corruption.
