PokerStars CEO Gabi Campos is to leave the company.

PokerStars CEO departs

A short statement released by the online poker firm thanked Campos for his work before revealing that a search for his replacement is underway.

Former Dragonfish managing director Campos was named as PokerStars chief executive in July 2010 before officially assuming the role on 4 October that year.

He will officially leave the company on 1 February 2012.

The full PokerStars statement read:
“Gabi Campos has decided to step down from his position as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2012, to pursue other opportunities.

The company thanks Gabi for his hard work and commitment and wishes him the best in all his future endeavours. A search for Gabi’s replacement is underway.”
