Betfair to unveil fixed odds product
Online operators Betfair are to launch a fixed odds betting service alongside their existing exchange offering.
The firm’s interim chief executive Stephen Morana has confirmed that the as yet unnamed product will be launching soon in a bid to win back customers who are choosing to bet using more conventional methods.
“Some of our customers are going to traditional bookies for a portion of their betting and we hope to address this with the introduction of an integrated risk product that will complement the exchange, not compete with it,” he confirmed.
Morana also underlined that exchange betting “always will be” Betfair’s core product, although he said his company “recognise that there are certain bets at certain times that the exchange, by its nature, cannot offer”.
