Nevada online poker hits record low

Nevada has once again broken its record for the lowest recorded monthly online poker revenue.

Online poker revenue has dropped from $665,000 in October 2014, which was itself a record low, to $641,000 in November.

The new figure represents a 42% year-on-year decrease.

Ultimate Gaming withdrew its services from the market during November, leaving Caesars Interactive Entertainment and RealGaming.com as the remaining online poker operators in the state.

Nevada’s land-based poker revenue fell 6.9% to $9.3m for the same month.

The latest financial results were released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, which revealed more satisfying results for casino gaming revenue, as the state ended three consecutive months of year-on-year decline.

A 0.04% year-on-year increase to $876.3m was recorded for November, even though the Las Vegas Strip posted a 4% year-on-year decline with revenue of $508.3m.

Total gaming win for the three-month quarter to the end of December declined 3.46% to $2.65bn, but a 0.42% increase to $11.1bn was reported for the 12 months from December 2013 to November 2014.
