New Jersey gaming win down for April

Casino win for current operators declined 4% to $186.27m, while internet gaming win for current operators increased 17% to $12.69m.

Those totals do not include the land-based operations of the now closed Showboat Casino Hotel and Revel Casino Hotel as well as the land-based and online operations of Trump Plaza.

The overall casino win figure was hit by a 34% drop to $22.53m reported by Caesars Atlantic City, while Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa reported the highest casino win of Atlantic City’s eight casinos with $53.54m, which is down 3%, followed by Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City with $29.4m, up 18%.

Borgata also contributed the highest i-gaming total for the month with $3.99m, which is also a 3% decrease.

The monthly i-gaming figure is down from March’s record $13.17m, but marks a sixth consecutive year-on-year monthly rise, and no year-on-year decreases have been reported since the New Jersey online gambling market began being regulated in November 2013.

The gaming win year-to-date total for current operators stands at $778.84m, up 4%.
