Wynn Interactive begins to pull out of New Jersey plans

Wynn Interactive, a subsidiary of operator Wynn Resorts, has requested to have permission to withdraw its application for an online licence in New Jersey.

A Wynn Interactive lawyer sent a letter to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), which stated: “At this time, Wynn does not wish to proceed with its application. Therefore, kindly accept this correspondence as a formal request to withdraw such application.”

A note published by the DGE reads: “It is ordered that the application of Wynn for an initial licensure as a CSIE [Casino Service Industry Enterprise] is withdrawn, subject to the condition that Wynn is financially responsible for the payment of any fees that remain due and owing to the Division.”

Wynn Interactive first applied for a CSIE licence in 2013 and intended to partner with Caesars Interactive Entertainment.
