Encore Boston Harbor admits mistake and reverses $50 table game minimums
Wynn Resorts has reduced its $50 table game minimums at Encore Boston Harbor to $15, also removing self-parking fees.
The $2.6bn property is looking to appeal to a larger crowd beyond VIP players, with a tiered card system additionally planned to reward players.
Encore Boston Harbor, opened this year, previously had no problem appealing to high rollers, though it was felt some of the Boston demographic had been alienated.
Brian Gullbrants, Encore Boston Harbor President after replacing Robert DeSalvio in October, said: “The last thing we want to do is be a Vegas casino in Boston.
“We want to be a Boston casino in Boston. We want to be Greater Boston’s hometown casino.
“We want everyone to come and feel welcome and like they can have a great time there, whether they are playing or not playing.
“We thought we could charge for parking here in Boston and we were wrong.”
