Mansion Group to leave UK after 20+ years
The Mansion Group has decided to close its Casino.com, SlotHeaven.com and MansionCasino.com subsidiaries in the UK.
The group will end its operations by surrendering its licence on 13 January 2023, a move it says will allow it to ‘focus efforts on improving their online casino offerings in Spain, Ontario and other licensed markets.’
Mansion House CMO Neil Gallacher said of the news: “Mansion’s focus in 2023 and beyond is to continue to double down on the most profitable markets where we currently operate, while always seeking to explore emerging markets.
“The UK was for many years our core market, and we look forward to sharing 20 years of wonderful customer experiences with all our non-UK clients for many years to come.”
At the time, Christian Block, CEO of Mansion, commented: “After careful deliberation, we have decided to cease trading our MansionBet brand. The commercial decision was a difficult one, but it does provide an opportunity to focus on our casino brands, where we have a long history of excelling.”
“To minimise the impact on consumers, we have ensured our customers’ future winnings continue to be paid out and stakes will be returned regardless of the outcome.”
That plan appears to have gone badly for Mansion, as it now completely exits the UK market to focus on other parts of its business around the world – however, the rate at which it has left the UK doesn’t inspire confidence in the brand going forward.
