ComplianceOne Group becomes member of NOGA

The ComplianceOne Group has joined Netherlands Online Gambling Association (NOGA).

Aiming to build a secure market in the nation, NOGA unites regulated operators, suppliers and other stakeholders. NOGA represents the interests of the online gaming sector in the Netherlands.

Among its members are companies like Flutter, Entain, Kindred Group and bet365.

Further, a comprehensive relationship between its regulatory and operational compliance agency Diligence in Gaming and operator Smart Gaming’s betnation.nl brand was established last year.

Mike de Graaff, Head of Regulatory Services & Assurance at Diligence in Gaming, a ComplianceOne Group company, said: “Joining the Netherlands Online Gambling Association is an important milestone for ComplianceOne Group as we look to further support our partners in the Netherlands.

“With the Dutch regulatory landscape continuing to evolve, membership of NOGA helps us better serve the operators and suppliers finding exciting new opportunities in the market.”

Peter-Paul de Goeij, NOGA Managing Director, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome ComplianceOne Group to NOGA. The Group’s expertise across both regulatory and technical compliance will be an important asset for our members.”

De Graaff issued a warning to operators earlier this year in response to the Dutch Gaming Authority’s update on its continuing inquiry into the duty of care operators owe to players.

He said: “Having worked with many licensed operators in the Netherlands since the framework went live in October 2021, the message I most often repeat is a simple one: treating regulation as a box-ticking exercise won’t cut it.”
