PrizePicks launches inaugural daily fantasy sports World Championship event

PrizePicks has released the first details of its debut PrizePicks World Championship, a skill-based daily fantasy sports event with a grand prize of $100,000.

A total of 12 Brand Ambassadors will take part in the challenge, Sean O’Malley, Druski, Tee Grizzley, Desi Banks, DCYoungFly, Kyle Forgeard, SteveWillDoIt, Danny Duncan, Funny Marco, Overtime Megan, BookItWithTrent and MMG.

The competitors will be expected to team up with their followers as part of the tournament, which will see them build an entry into the Sunday football games.

The three-week-long tournament will be head-to-head in a bracket-style format, with the contestant who picks the most correct options moving on to the next round.

In the event of a tie, the decision will be based on whoever has the most amount of fan supporters riding on their selection.

Fans can fill out a free survey on the PrizePicks site to join a team, and should they join the future winner, they will entered into a free opportunity to win $2,000.

The deadline to join a team is 5 November, which is when the tournament will begin.

Adam Wexler, PrizePicks Co-Founder & CEO, said: “At PrizePicks, we bring sports fans together and push ourselves to build innovative new experiences around watching games that people love.

“The PrizePicks World Championship blends the viral nature of fantasy sports and social media communities in a competitive format that has never been done before and we can’t wait to introduce it to our members.”

Earlier this month, PrizePricks partnered with US Integrity to tackle fraudulent betting and monitor compliance.
