Entain announce new appointments following Jette Nygaard-Andersen’s resignation
Since Stella David was appointed as the Interim CEO, four more appointments have been made.
Last Wednesday, news broke from Entain that its CEO, Jette Nygaard-Andersen, had resigned after nearly three years in the position with Stella David being appointed to take her place as Interim CEO.
Following increased pressure and scrutiny owing to recent financial performances and what some deemed uninspiring M&A activity, Nygaard-Andersen stepped down with immediate effect from her role as Entain’s CEO.
Since the announcement, Entain’s share price has continued to grow and at the time of writing is valued at £9.94 ($12.59), an increase of 22.3% since Monday last week when it was valued at £8.13 at the time of closing.
Now, the company has announced four further additions to its board and to its Senior Independent Director role.
Taking on the position of Senior Independent Director is Pierre Bouchut. Virginia McDowell has been appointed as Chair of the Remuneration Committee, Barry Gibson has been appointed as Chair of the People and Governance Committee and Rahul Welde has been appointed as a member of the People and Governance Committee.
Chairman of Entain, Barry Gibson, said: “On behalf of the Board, I am delighted that Pierre has agreed to take on the role of Senior Independent Director to replace Stella. His extensive board experience and knowledge of the Company makes him ideally placed for the role of Senior Independent Director. I am also grateful to Virginia and Rahul that they have agreed to take on these additional responsibilities.”
