Kansas November report shows mixed results in year-on-year casino revenue

The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission recently released its November report and the statistics show both increases and decreases across the reported metrics of the state’s four casinos.

Two of the state’s casinos saw overall revenue increases while the other two showed decreases. The total revenue generated by the four casinos in November was $31.4m.

Table games saw an increase in revenue generated in three of the four casinos, while one, Kansas Star Casino & Resort, saw a table game revenue decrease of 25.4% for a total of $1.62m.

Boot Hill Casino & Resort saw the highest revenue growth overall, with a 3.6% increase in its overall revenue. This increase came in largely thanks to the casino’s sharp increase in table games revenue, where the casino was up by 42.5% from last November.

Hollywood Casino & Resort also saw an increase in its overall revenue, with a 2.5% increase across the year. This growth came from a combination of a 1.7% increase in electronic gaming machines and a 9.3% increase in table games.

Kansas Crossing Casino & Resort saw a decrease across the year, with a 1.6% loss to its overall revenue. This decrease came despite an 80.2% increase in its table game profits, up from $116,896 to $210,638.

Finally, Kansas Star Casino & Resort saw the biggest decrease of all, with a 4.5% decrease in overall profit across the year. This figure came in part due to a decrease in table game profits.
