BetMGM announced as new title sponsor of Premier League Darts
The player line-up for the Premier League Darts will be announced later today.
After the success of the 2024 Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) World Darts Championship, sponsored by Paddy Power, including last night’s drama-filled final between Luke Humphries and Luke Littler, Premier League Darts has a new sponsor.
BetMGM, which already has big partnerships in the world of football including with Manchester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United, will now be a key sponsor in the world of darts, securing an agreement with the PDC for Premier League Darts in 2024.
The BetMGM Premier League will be held from February to May, competed by eight players for £1m ($1.3m) in prize money, where the top four from the final league table will progress to the season-ending Play-Offs.
PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter said: “The Premier League will reach a huge live audience and a massive global television audience across four months, and we’re delighted to welcome BetMGM as our new title sponsor.
“This year marks the 20th staging of the Premier League and it is already the most eagerly-awaited, with the standard of entertainment across PDC events in the past 12 months having continued to rise.
“As we enter the third year of the eight-player, nightly knockout format we’re excited about working alongside BetMGM to promote such a wide-reaching event.”
