QuinnBet Grand National Trial prize fund increased to €100,000
This news comes after the race was promoted to listed status.
The QuinnBet Grand National Trial will now carry a new increased prize fund of €100,000 ($108,176), with the race being promoted to listed status.
It was in January 2023 when QuinnBet was announced as the sponsor for the Punchestown Grand National Trial, with the agreement in place for three years.
This year’s QuinnBet Grand National Trial is one of the centre pieces of QuinnBet’s National Hunt sponsorship strategy in Ireland, taking place on 18 February and is the feature on a seven race card.
QuinnBet Head of Sponsorship & Commercial, Niall McPartland, said: “QuinnBet is delighted to renew the sponsorship of the Grand National Trial Handicap Chase at Punchestown in 2024 and beyond! In other horseracing news last month, the Macau Horse Racing Company signed an agreement with the Macau Government to terminate the “Concession Contract for the Exclusion Operation of Horse Racing,” with the contract ending on 1 April 2024, at which point horseracing in Macau will no longer continue.
