NE Group teams up with Betika to introduce crash game ‘Defender’ in Africa

NE Group has partnered with Kenya’s Betika to introduce its football-themed crash game, Defender, to new audiences in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Defender, first launched in 2022, combines elements of strategy and real-time decision-making, where players must decide when to cash out before the opposing team scores a goal.
This agreement allows Betika to offer its users the enhanced version of Defender, which was rolled out earlier this year.
Peter Stagles, Betika’s Group Chief Product Officer, said: “We are thrilled to integrate NE Group’s Defender into our platform. Football is the number one sport in Africa and this partnership enhances our already excellent offering.”
