Dr Jane Rigbye to step down as Ygam CEO

Dr Jane Rigbye will be stepping down as Ygam’s CEO in June after three and a half years.

Dr Rigbye is a chartered psychologist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of gambling awareness. Since joining Ygam, she has focused on creating safe gaming and gambling practices among children and young people.

In her role, Ygam implemented a strategy that included a rebrand and the launch of a new website. The charity’s work now reaches schools, colleges, universities and organisations such as The Scouts, Mumsnet, Place2Be and The Children’s Society.

Helen Martin, Ygam COO, has been appointed as Interim CEO. The Board will announce further updates on the recruitment process for a permanent CEO in the coming weeks.

Good to know: Dr Rigbye will continue to work for Ygam in a new role as a trustee

Mike Wojcik, Ygam Chair, stated: “On behalf of the Board, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Jane for what she has achieved during her tenure.

Dr Rigbye added: “Leading Ygam has been an incredible honour. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved as a team, and I know the charity will continue to go from strength to strength.

“The work we do has never been more important, and I have been continually inspired by the passion and talent of the Ygam team.”
