BetMGM has appointed Jarrod Schwarz as its first COO, in a move that expands his remit beyond product to cover customer operations, technology and trading.
Schwarz, who previously served as Chief Product Officer for nearly five years, has over 20 years’ experience in digital product leadership.
Before joining BetMGM, he worked at Disney on the launch of ESPN+, as well as holding senior roles at eBay and the JP Morgan Chase-acquired startup Bloomspot.
CEO Adam Greenblatt said: “Jarrod has been an integral part of our incredible team, building BetMGM into one of the most recognisable and successful brands in sports betting and iGaming. He has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of our business.”
Good to know: In its H1 2025 financial update, BetMGM reported revenue of $1.35bn, a 35% year-on-year increase
The operator also confirmed wider structural updates, moving its strategy, corporate development and certain business development responsibilities under the finance function, led by CFO Gary Deutsch.
These changes follow the recent creation of two new verticals: iGaming under Oliver Bartlett and sports under Raymond Doyle.
Schwarz said: “I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into this role. It’s a privilege to continue the incredible journey we’ve been on at BetMGM, building on our momentum in sports betting and iGaming.”
The announcement comes shortly after BetMGM launched a new partnership with Fremantle to introduce The Lion’s Share, a custom-branded pricing game for The Price is Right. The collaboration also includes multiple exclusive slot titles based on the long-running show.
BetMGM currently operates in 29 markets across the US, offering both mobile and retail sports betting and iGaming products.
