Relax Gaming to license Stakelogic’s ClusterBreaker mechanic

Agreement brings new slot feature to wider audience.

Relax Gaming to license Stakelogic’s ClusterBreaker mechanic

Key points:

– Relax Gaming will adopt Stakelogic’s ClusterBreaker mechanic across its slot portfolio

– The feature introduces dynamic symbol splitting and is designed for optimised mobile gameplay

Stakelogic has entered a licensing agreement with Relax Gaming that will see its ClusterBreaker mechanic integrated into Relax’s gaming offering.

Originally launched in December 2024 with Fire & Gold ClusterBreaker, the mechanic introduces a variation on standard cluster-based slot gameplay. Instead of adjacent symbols, ClusterBreaker enables individual symbols to split into two, three or four smaller symbols, increasing the number of potential matches.

The design supports a more compact reel layout than typical cluster games, which often use grids as large as 9×9. This smaller format will improve visibility and performance on mobile devices while retaining the core gameplay experience.

Relax Gaming’s adoption of ClusterBreaker reflects a growing interest in features that offer variety within existing game formats. The mechanic aims to provide an alternative to traditional cluster pays systems, using dynamic elements to increase engagement.

Good to know: Stakelogic develops online slot games and also operates a live casino division known as Stakelogic Live, with teams based in Kyiv and Belgrade

Relax Gaming will offer its operating partners access to a mechanic that differs from standard cluster setups, particularly in its use of symbol behaviour and screen layout.

Stephan van den Oetelaar, Stakelogic CEO, stated: “Our ClusterBreaker mechanic has set a new standard in cluster-based gaming by combining simplicity with thrilling winning potential.

“Partnering with Relax Gaming allows us to expand its reach and let even more players experience something truly special.”

Martin Stålros, Relax Gaming CEO, added: “Relax Gaming is always striving to drive differentiation and incorporate innovative features that will provide a competitive advantage in the industry.”

This licensing deal follows Relax Gaming’s recent expansion in Serbia, marked by the opening of a new central Belgrade office near the Danube River.
