Key points:

– InsaGames officially launches with 13 ultra-lite Instant Games focused on emerging markets

– The company has partnered with OdiBets Kenya to enter East Africa, expanding beyond previous success in West and Central Africa

– Future plans include localised content co-development and the introduction of promotional tools for low-data environments

South African start-up InsaGames has officially launched its mobile-first iGaming platform, bringing a suite of data-efficient Instant Games to emerging markets across Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.

Headquartered in Johannesburg, the company focuses on overcoming infrastructure challenges by delivering entertainment optimised for low-bandwidth environments and lower-end devices.

Following a soft launch across 23 countries in Central Africa, West Africa and the Caribbean, InsaGames has now entered the East African market through a partnership with operator OdiBets Kenya.

The partnership allows Kenyan players access to a catalogue of 13 titles, including crash, slot, sports and number-based games – each up to three times lighter than typical industry offerings.

Commenting on the partnership, Benedict Murithi, Head of Marketing at OdiBets, stated: “What impressed us most was the diversity of InsaGames’ portfolio and the intuitive, lightweight gameplay.

“Our priority is delivering seamless, high-quality entertainment to our players – and InsaGames has achieved exactly that.”

Good to know: Through its in-house studio, InsaGames also enables co-development with operators

Regarding the launch more generally, InsaGames’ Head of Online, Sanele Mopai, noted: “We saw a clear gap in the market for games designed around the specific realities of emerging regions.

“Our products are mobile-first, ultra-lite and fully optimised for players in markets where bandwidth and device limitations are a daily reality.

“We’ve already seen 40% month-on-month growth in turnover across our live markets – a clear demonstration of the significant value we’re delivering to our partners.”

Future plans include the launch of integrated promotional tools like free spins, jackpots and cash drops – all engineered to function within a low-data usage ecosystem.
