This move comes ahead of the imminent de-monopolisation of the Finnish market.

– High Roller has appointed Sara Nunes as its new MD & CCO in Finland  

– Nunes will now lead the company’s commercial department in the nation 

– Her previous experience includes leadership positions at companies including Betsson, Kindred and Rootz 

High Roller Technologies has announced the appointment of Sara Nunes as its new Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer for its Finnish operations.  

Nunes brings over a decade-worth of experience within the gambling industry, having held prior roles at operators such as Kindred, Betsson and Rootz – where she was closely involved with partnership initiatives, commercial strategy and execution.

As part of this new position, she will now help spearhead the direction of High Roller’s commercial department in the Finnish market, reporting directly to the company’s regional CEO.  

Speaking on her appointment, High Roller CEO Ben Clemes said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Sara to High Roller during this exciting and transformative time in our company’s journey. Sara’s wide-ranging experience and deep professional network in Finland brings our executive management team from strength to strength.” 

Also commenting on her appointment was Nunes, who said: “I was attracted to High Roller because of the company’s significant potential. The Company’s ambition to expand into high upside regulated markets is compelling, and I’m excited to contribute to High Roller’s growth as I enter this new chapter of my career.” 

Good to know: Prior to her gaming career, Nunes was a commercially successful pop star in Finland, following the release of her Simon Cowell parody single, ‘Simon can’t sing’  

Indeed, this latest announcement comes following the additional appointment of Kristofer Muscat as the new High Roller COO in January of this year.  

More recently, the operator announced a new partnership with Playtech in Ontario last month ahead of the imminent launch of its online gaming platform in the Canadian provincial market, which is currently scheduled for the second half of the year.
