John Terry joins Lebom as ambassador and investor

Key points:

– Terry has signed a three-year deal with Lebom as both investor and ambassador

– Terry will focus on product development and score predictions throughout the season

John Terry has joined Lebom, a football prediction app, as an investor and brand ambassador ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Terry’s involvement supports Lebom’s goal of enabling users to create private leagues, predict match outcomes and compete for cash prizes. The app differs from traditional sportsbooks by offering a low-stakes, peer-to-peer model focused on community and competition.

Terry, a five-time Premier League winner, will work with Lebom on product development and provide weekly Premier League score predictions throughout the season.

Since launching in 2021, Lebom has grown to 65,000 active players in 2024/25, while introducing Lebom Universe.

Terry stated: “I’ve been playing Lebom with my family and close mates, and it’s honestly brought a whole new energy to the weekend’s football

“It’s really competitive and exciting but it’s about enjoying the game together and the bragging rights, not chasing big wins or betting alone.”

Chris Ricketts, Lebom CEO and Co-Founder, added: “ We’re already loving working with him and know he can help unleash Lebom’s full potential over the coming seasons as we continue to provide fans with an exciting, community led, responsible experience in sports betting.”

Terry’s involvement with Lebom comes as co-founder Chris Ricketts discussed the app’s growth, unique peer-to-peer model and future plans in an exclusive Huddle interview with Gambling Insider.

It will be interesting to see how Terry’s role influences Lebom’s development, given his fame and experience – but also some of the negative incidents that impacted Terry’s profile later in his career.
