Esports betting: The data is in the details

Alex Kozachenko, Data.Bet’s Chief Product Officer, is a fan of esports and is currently in charge of the company's strategic product development planning.

Data.Bet

Can you give us a broad overview of your product and how it works?

Our product is a single-entry point for bookmakers in esports betting. We collect and process the event data, preferably official if such is available, to create an esports betting game. Our main product is Esports Data Feed, which includes Odds Feed – а data stream containing calculated odds for the outcome of an event - which allows the bookmaker to accept bets from players.

Live Score Feed – а stream of statistical data showing the current status of the game (score, game time, map time). In other words, it digitises what is happening at a particular moment in the game.

Risk Management – the task of this service is to reduce the risks for our partners when accepting bets on events.

We produce very accurate odds for the events with the aid of our specially trained esports traders, artificial intelligence and focus on official data. With our expertise and cutting-edge technology, we can offer our partners a solution in the esports betting industry.

What do you believe gives you a market edge?

Data.Bet is one of the few companies that has been actively involved in esports and has continuously enhanced its expertise in the industry over the years. That is why we strive to be among the first to obtain all the available official esports data on the market and use it to develop our product. In addition, we have a strong esports trading team that is constantly learning, allowing us to expand the number of events we cover and upgrade the accuracy of the data we offer at all levels. This enables 24-hour access to content and simplified betting process management, resulting in a top-class betting game.

What are your goals for 2023?

Our main goal is to show potential partners that esports can, as of now, be no less profitable than classic sports. Therefore, we continue to develop together with our partners and plan to expand our product based on market trends and partner interests. By this, we mean the discovery of new disciplines that are not yet sufficiently developed in the betting market, scaling and increasing the recognition of our brand, thus building the most innovative product.

What has been the biggest achievement since you started the business?
