ne gambling revenue in Delaware is down 29% year-on-year to $146,188 for March, figures released by the Delaware Lottery have showed.
The figure is down from $207, 038 and is the third time this year that the total has dropped, following decreases in January and February of 9% and 14% respectively.
The monthly revenue total is the highest of this year and is up 2% month-on-month from February’s total of $143,101.
Poker revenue is down 48% year-on-year to $43,636 from $84,476, but is up 21% month-on-month from $34,526, while video lottery revenue has seen a 40% year-on-year downswing to $50,926 from $84,496.
The number of player registrations for the month is down 52% year-on-year to 306 from 640 and is up 12% month-on-month from 274.
Last year was the first full year that a regulated online gambling market was in operation in Delaware, and $2.1m in revenue was generated.
Online operators in Delaware were reported to be in the soft-launch phase of sharing online poker liquidity with their counterparts in Nevada in March, which is the first interstate online poker agreement to be implemented in the US.
Three online poker brands operate in Delaware, with all three feeding into one player pool.
