Jumbo Interactive aims for UK expansion
Australian digital lottery firm, Jumbo Interactive, has made a senior hire to lead its growth strategy in the UK charities market.
Nigel Atkinson has been appointed UK General Manager and his role will include overseeing Jumbo Interactive’s UK operations. He will assume management of the firm’s UK subsidiary, Gatherwell, which Jumbo acquired in 2019.
Nigel has over 20 years of experience in the digital technology sector, working in both senior technical and commercial roles.
Jumbo’s focus on the UK happens at a time when the charity sector faces certain post-pandemic challenges. The firm’s plan is to combine its digital expertise from running government lotteries in Australia with Gatherwell’s experience with local causes and schools.
This means it will be easier for charities and good causes to set up a lottery and generate sustainable income.
