Playtech launches live casino studios in Michigan and New Jersey

Playtech has launched live casino facilities in two US states as it looks to grow its North American footprint.

The company has opened two live casino studios, one in Michigan with its new partner Parx Interactive, under the Play Gun Lake brand, and another in New Jersey with Bet365.

In a statement, Playtech said they “represent the initial launch of Playtech’s entertainment-led live casino offering in the US and the next step in Playtech’s strategic expansion”.

Both facilities are now up and running after receiving regulatory approvals from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) and New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).

Playtech’s new facility in Michigan is located in Southfield, a city and northern suburb of Detroit, and according to the provider “has been developed to deliver a new standard in live casino experience.” Its New Jersey studio, meanwhile, is located in Atlantic City.

“This is a landmark moment for Playtech and our development in the US, and it is something we are all very excited about,” said Edo Haitin, Playtech Live Casino CEO.

“We are humbly grateful for the warm welcome and support our teams have received from the Atlantic City and Southfield communities, and we are looking forward to becoming an integral part of these communities and contribute our part.”

Both its Michigan and New Jersey studios will offer classic roulette, blackjack and baccarat live dealer tables on launch. They will also feature Playtech’s Quantum Roulette arcade.

This initial offering will be followed by further launches, including a sports-focused environment and new arcade experience.

Haitin added: “The launch of the two facilities represents our core strategy of bringing our industry-leading studio standards to the US whilst ensuring that Playtech Live’s most engaging and innovative products and technology are available to new markets and audiences.”
