Entain and Trident Leagues launch Pitching In Volunteer Hub
Entain has launched the “Pitching In Volunteer Hub” in partnership with the Trident Leagues, three football leagues for semi-professional clubs across England and Wales.
The Isthmian League, Southern League and Northern Premier League make up the trident’s three tines, comprising the third and fourth levels of the English National League System.
With Entain, they have developed an online portal to connect football fans and potential volunteers for all 248 clubs across the three leagues.
The web-based hub allows clubs to post volunteering vacancies while also enabling fans to search for opportunities, either at a specific club or based on their location. Prospective volunteers can also offer their services and register their skills.
In addition to powering this platform, Entain will further promote volunteering through its network of Ladbrokes and Coral betting shops.
The Pitching In Volunteer Hub will be fronted by former England Captain Stuart Pearce, who commented: “This is a fantastic initiative that will be a real game changer for promoting volunteering at the community level.
“I know from my time at Wealdstone just how important volunteers are to local clubs. Equally, it can be a hugely positive and rewarding experience for those who volunteer, I encourage anyone to give it a go and find out for themselves.”
And in a joint statement, Pitching In Southern League Vice Chairman Anthony Hughes, Pitching In Isthmian League Chairman Nick Robinson and Pitching In Northern Premier League Chairman Mark Harris expressed their enthusiasm for the hub.
“We are really excited about the development of the Pitching In Volunteer Hub as part of the tremendous support received from Entain,” they remarked.
“Volunteers are vital to the running of our clubs; we want to welcome as many as possible to play an active part in their clubs and their communities.”
