The deal will see DraftKings' newest location offer 3,200 square feet of TV screen playing live sports, 16 video poker machines, three blackjack tables, 300 lounge seats with VIP areas and 30 self-service kiosks spread across 12,000 square feet inside the Golden Nugget Lake Charles' casino.
Alongside the betting service, DraftKings will also have the DraftKings Sportsbook Bar & Grill – which it says will offer ‘a variety of dining options during breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a “quick grab” menu.’
Michael Kibort, Sr. Director, Retail Sportsbooks at DraftKings, hailed the new permanent location for the sportsbook, saying: “We are thrilled to be opening our permanent retail DraftKings Sportsbook inside the Golden Nugget Lake Charles. The massive space, big screen TVs, odds boards and dining options will bring the DraftKings brand to life in an ideal setting to experience live sports.”
Meanwhile, Gerry Del Prete, COO of Gaming, Fertitta Entertainment Inc, said: “Just in time for football season, we look forward to offering our guests the excitement of live games in an immersive audio-visual experience. We believe this DraftKings Sportsbook will raise the standards in sports betting and offer an unparalleled entertainment experience.”
When it launches, the DraftKings’ location will be the largest retail sportsbook in Louisiana.
Earlier in August, DraftKings confirmed the opening of Michigan’s first Sports and Social DraftKings venue.
