Paysafe expands into Kansas’ online sports betting market

Paysafe has entered another US market, arriving in Kansas’ fledgling online sports betting space.

Operators in the Sunflower State began accepting wagers earlier this month after Governor Laura Kelly signed into law Senate Bill 84 in May, which legalised sports betting.

Paysafe has now also gone live in Kansas, supporting Caesars, DraftKings and PointsBet. Each has “plugged into” Paysafe’s so-called “payment gateway” to power online credit and debit card deposits.

Caesars and PointsBet users in Kansas can also link their banking and sportsbook accounts to make automated clearing house (ACH) deposits and, vice versa, receive payouts.

Meanwhile, Paysafe subsidiary Income Access has similarly gone live in Kansas to support brands’ new player acquisition efforts.

This is currently helping several operators, such as Caesars, to track, manage and optimise their affiliate programmes.

“We’re delighted to continue our 2022 North American expansion by entering Kansas, the newest regulated US iGaming market,” said Zak Cutler, Paysafe’s President of Global Gaming.

“We look forward to using our payment solutions and affiliate marketing technology to help operators in Kansas establish their brands by acquiring new players and retaining them, to also ensure the wider market’s growth.”

The Sunflower State is another notch in Paysafe’s belt when it comes to North American expansion. Paysafe has previously entered several other US jursidictions, such as nearby Arkansas, as well as New York and Louisiana.

Meanwhile, sports betting has got off to a good start in Kansas. According to figures from the Kansas Lottery, over 2.4 million wagers were placed from 1 September through 11 September.
