Betfred at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook launches in Las Vegas
With the assistance of UNLV Rebels and Cincinnati Bengals player Elbert 'Ickey' Woods, Betfred at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook made its launch and welcomed bettors.
The new sportsbook is situated at Mohegan Casino inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, a division of Curio Collection by Hilton.
This gives fans access to a wide range of betting possibilities, such as parlays, in-game betting, teasers, futures and props. Betfred was established in 1967 by brothers Fred and Peter Done and the sportsbook is their first foray into Nevada.
Currently licenced in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Louisiana, Arizona, Washington, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, and Nevada, Betfred owns and runs more than 1,400 betting shops in the United Kingdom. The company also entered the American sports betting market in 2019.
Additionally, Betfred is a partner of the Denver Broncos, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Vegas Golden Knights (who it signed a multi-year sponsorship with earlier this month).
Ickey Woods also bet for Philadelphia to win the Big Game at -125 to add to the excitement. He then performed his famous “Ickey Shuffle” for good luck. After the first wager, Woods met with the public and signed autographs for the crowd.
Mohegan Casino Las Vegas runs the Betfred at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook. On the operator’s behalf, Betfred manages Betfred at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook and offers services related to sports pools.
Recently, Betfred launched its online operations in the US state of Virginia a month after becoming the official sports betting partner of Loudoun United FC. The sportsbook brand will feature on the back of Loudoun United’s shirt for the 2023 season.
