CoinPoker Unveils Record $30M Guaranteed Battle of Malta Online Series
The 23-festival features a massive prize pool, plus chances to qualify for a $2,500 package for this fall's live event.
CoinPoker is set to present its largest online poker festival to date, announcing a $30 million guaranteed Battle of Malta Online Series, scheduled to run from July 12 through Aug. 3.
The 23-day extravaganza features a packed slate of tournaments, including three Main Events carrying a combined $3.1 million in guaranteed prize pools, a $1 million CoinMillion tournament, high-roller events and 77 trophy competitions. CoinPoker will also award 100 packages to the live Battle of Malta Autumn Edition in Malta later this year.
The flagship event of the series is the $565 Battle of Malta Main Event, which comes with a $2.5 million guarantee and multiple Day 1 flights leading into Day 2 on Aug. 3. The schedule also includes a $55 Main Challenger with a $500,000 guarantee and an $11 Main Crusader worth $100,000 guaranteed.
CoinPoker’s popular CoinMillion tournament returns on opening weekend. The $215 buy-in event carries a $1 million guaranteed prize pool, with Day 1 scheduled for July 12 and Day 2 on July 13. Another familiar fixture, the $1,500 CoinMasters BITCOIN tournament, will also feature a $1 million guarantee.
The festival’s closing weekend alone will offer $10 million in guaranteed prize pools, helping make the series one of the largest online poker schedules of the summer.
Qualify for $2,500 Package for Battle of Mattle Autumn Addition
In addition to online prize money, players will have opportunities to qualify for the Battle of Malta Autumn Edition, which runs Oct. 27 through Nov. 4. CoinPoker said it will award 100 live-event packages valued at $2,500 each, including a travel allowance and a €600 Main Event seat.
Seventy-five of those packages will be distributed through the Battle of Malta Champion’s Trials promotion, while another 25 will be awarded through Main Event-related promotions.
The series will also feature 77 trophy events, with winners receiving both a physical Battle of Malta trophy and a digital CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet award.
The Battle of Malta Online Series follows CoinPoker’s recent World Poker Masters festival, which awarded more than $48 million in prize pools and became the largest tournament series in the platform’s history.
