Intralot appoints Richard Bateson as Chief Commercial Officer

Intralot has appointed Richard Bateson as its new Chief Commercial Officer.

Bateson will start in his new position upon completion of all the legal processes.

He will be a part of the US senior management team to expand Intralot’s company in North America, reporting directly to the CEO of Intralot US.

Intralot is a company that offers integrated services for gambling, lotteries, sports betting administration and online gambling.

Bateson has previously worked with the Camelot group of companies in both the UK and North America, and has more than 20 years of lottery experience.

Additionally, Bateson has experience working as a consultant for several businesses, including Camelot UK Lotteries Ltd., Teneo and Jumbo Interactive.

He brings plenty of experience from both Europe and North America to his current position as the former President of EuroMillions.

In a similar move, it was recently announced that Konstantinos Farris would take over as Group Chief Technology Officer for Intralot.

Farris started working with Intralot in 1997 as a Technical Director. He was later elevated to CTO, a post he held for a while before moving on to take a similar job with another company.

Farris will continue in both his former roles as a Member of the Board and CTO.

The position of Deputy CEO will be taken on by Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors Chrysostomos Sfatos.

Meanwhile, in December, Intralot signed a five-year contract with the Ohio Lottery.

Per the deal, Intralot will utilise current lottery equipment and infrastructure to facilitate a sports betting solution for retailers and customers throughout the state.
