Seven fan websites for the Brazilian football clubs have joined forces with the French sports gaming media company North Star Network.

With more than 28 million monthly visits across all these websites, North Star Network will provide more news and analysis when the new football season starts.

NotciasDoMengao.com.br, which covers current South American champions Flamengo, and PortalDoPalmeirense.com.br, which caters to supporters of Brazilian domestic champions Palmeiras, are among the websites being added to the portfolio.

Former world champions Corinthians (NoticiasDoTimao.com.br), So Paulo (PortalDoSaoPaulino.com.br), Atlético Mineiro (PortalDoAtleticano.com.br) and Cruzeiro (PortalCruzeirense.com.br) – owned by Brazilian football legend and former player Ronaldo – are also among the participating teams.

Meanwhile, fans can stay informed about all the significant football news happening throughout Brazil by visiting the PortalDosTimes.com.br website.

Julien Josset, North Star Network CEO, said: “We are delighted to bring fans of Brazilian football in-depth coverage from one of football’s most significant nations. Our aim is to become a leading reference point for sports fans and with seven websites covering some of the largest football clubs in the country, we will have the perfect chance to do that.”

This deal follows the recent purchase of a Brazilian basketball portal Lakersbrasil.com in April.

The most recent addition to its collection is the website Lakersbrasil.com, which is devoted to the LA Lakers, an American basketball team.

Josset said: “Lakersbrasil.com is a perfect fit for our portfolio, with basketball continuing to become more significant in Brazil. This gives us a chance to connect with basketball fans and provide them with first-class insight into their favourite team.”
