Genius Sports strikes official data and streaming partnership with the European League of Football (ELF).

Ahead of the new ELF season on 3 June, Genius Sports has been granted exclusive official data and streaming rights. The ELF joins other American football partners including the CFL, NFL, XFL and NCAA.

The ELF is a professional American football league outside of North America. The league (as of the 2023 season) consists of 17 teams located in Germany, Poland, Spain, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic and France.

Founded in London in 2001, Genius Sports is a sports data technology company and this partnership will allow it to provide its services to the ELF.

Genius Sports has now been granted the exclusive rights to capture, manage and distribute official data and live video streams from the ELF games through its network of regulated sportsbook partners.

Zeljko Karajica, Managing Director of the ELF, commented: “Having Genius Sports as a new partner enables us to tap into new markets and offer our fans a broader range of products.

“Data is playing an increasingly important role in the world of American football and with Genius Sports we have found the perfect partner.”

Jonny Katanchian, Heads of Sports and Broadcast at Genius Sports, said: “Our sports data and insights technology will enable the ELF to expand the distribution and commercialisation of their unique content around the world.

”We’re delighted to broaden our world-leading American football offering, providing our partners with year-round exclusive content across multiple time zones.”
