GGPoker, an online poker platform, has announced its $10m guaranteed MicroFestival poker tournament series, which will have buy-ins as low as $1.

Starting on 4 June, over 2 million players are expected to join at least one of the series tournaments on offer.

With tournaments ranging from $1 buy-in satellites to the $1m guaranteed Mystery Bounty Main Event with a $10.80 entry, GGPoker has designed the series to cater to all levels of poker players.

Sarne Lightman, Managing Director of GGPoker, said: “Poker is not just about the pressure-filled, high-stakes games we see on TV – it’s a game for everyone, no matter the size of your bankroll.

“Our new MicroFestival ensures there are tournaments for every single player in the worldwide poker community, with buy-ins from just $1 and juicy guarantees to boot!”

Other events during the festival include a micro Global Millions tournament and a micro Omaholic Bounty Millions.

The tournament will run until the 25 June, when the final stage of the Mystery Bounty Main Event will take place.

Unlike standard industry bounty tournaments, the Mystery Bounty events work slightly differently.

Rather than the size of the bounty scaling against the time players last in the tournament, it will be randomly drawn whenever a player knocks someone out.

In other gambling industry news, Paddy Power Betfair just received a £490,000 ($606,000) fine for marketing towards vulnerable people.
